More time to spend preping for my midterm! Yay!

Well, classes were too long, but I ended up making it through the day and going to hang out with Kathryn. I managed to get to her dorm before she did, and ended up waiting there until she came back from class. Hehe, she wasn't expecting to see me there, so score one for Avram for utilizing the Ninja's element of surprise.

Anywho, we hung out for a bit, then ended up going out to eat at Orange King (Kat's first time there, or so she says :P) After eating a rather filling meal, we walked back to her dorm, chatting along the way. Realizing that I forgot my iPod cable at my apartment, I suggested that we watch Serendipity together rather than me taking it home to watch by myself.

We, one thing led to another, and I ended up putting my arm around Kat while we watched the movie. To my surprise, she leaned back onto me and stayed like that for the entire movie. *tears of joy* This is the first time I've ever done anything like this, so one could only imagine how shocked and happy I was laying there, carressing her hand as it laid in mine. Perfection... :)

After the movie ended, we just ended up taking a nap together, with her in my arms. Once again, a first, and unforgetable experience for me. Not to mention this was the first time I kissed a girl who wasn't family to me. I'm in love, what else can I say?

As reluctant as I was, I had to attend my IEEE meeting, show my support for Aziel as he ran for President of IEEE. Needless to say, Aziel won by a landslide. He had the credentials, experience, and the motivation to do better than any of the other candidates. Congrats to you Aziel!

Well, best start working on my Tycho.
.avi-E out

P.S. Don't get me wrong, it was the most fun I had in ages, but dear GOD I'm sore.

It started out with me meeting up with Kathryn to practice our salsa outside. We ended up practicing for about an hour, prior to calling up Dennis. Dennis and I had made plans to play tennis when Kat and I were done with salsa, so after he met up, we decided to throw around a frisbee I had brought with me instead of playing tennis.

Over time, it got old, but we looked around to play tenis, and no courts were open. We then headed to the IMA, where Kat picked up a racquet and balls, and were played on the IMA tennis courts for another hour. After playing a fast game and long rally, we returned the equipment back, and began heading back to my apartment. Along the way, we stopped at a high price and lower quality italian resturant, where we can all possibly agree had poor service for the price we paid.

Anywho, we went back to my apartment and played some Burnout 3 for a bit, while I tried to get My Sassy Girl (a korean romance/comedy) to play on my comp. Surprising enough, the ice cream man came by, and Dennis and Kathryn both bought some ice cream from him. After a bit of wasting time, we ended up playing a Mario Party style game for xbox called Fuzion Frenzy. Man, I don't think 3 hours ever passed that quickly before :P

After Aziel, Athena, Kat, Dennis and I finsihed playing Fuzion Frenzy, I drove the two of them home after eating a bit of food which Kat's mom had dropped off. Well, it had been a long day for me, 10 hours of hanging out with my good friends. Not to mention an addition 2 hours from 1:30-3:30 AM of chatting prior to sleeping.

Well, good days bring bad days soon enough ^_^'

The next day, I was sore as heck, and woke up after 3 hours of sleep at 6:30 by my alarm, which I hit for a 10 min nap. That repeated until it was 7:50, and I was on the verge of being late for class. As tired as I was, I pulled through all my lectures and quizes just fine, but I was later greeted with a 6 hour Lab section for EE 215.

After working the first 3 hours of the lab, Louie had to head out for one of his classes, so I decided to try to rest up. I called Kat up to ask if I could sleep on the free bed in her dorm, but unfortunately, she wasn't picking up her phone. I ended up sleeping in an empty classroom in a desk, until I couldn't put up with it anymore. I then moved to the Seig hall lounge, and tried to sleep on the couch in the student lounge.

I woke up later, and continued the lab with Louie until my IEEE meeting began. After the meeting, I continued the lab with Louie for another hour, and ended up going home as tired as I had came to school, wishing to goto sleep as soon as possible.

I got home... logged on to my comp to check my email, and started chatting. I've been here since... My GOD I'm tired...

~adios!~
.avi-E

-log out-

*twitch twitch*

*twitch*

This can't be happening... my fraking iPod got WIPED... Probably be realy short since I can't think of many things to write about.

Well, over time, I stopped hanging out Virjiznya due to differences of opinion, not much of a loss there, but it was fun hanging out with her from time to time. I even up passing all my classes on Winter quarter with a craptastic 2.1 GPA average... So much for life as a high GPA student, eh? I mean my transfer GPA is 3.68, but that meants nothing here, right? Anywho, I ended getting accepted into the department of Electrical Engineering. Wheeehe! Life begins a new, huh? Alas, I think i bombed my first midterm for that, so life doesn't look to promising at the moment.

Well, between quarters, I went home and relaxed at home as little as I could. Love my family, but they run me around doing errands like a pack mule the minute I step through the front door. Time moved on and Spring quarter started. Cherry Blossoms were in bloom so I took a ton of pictures. I began talking to Jessica Pittman again after a 3 year span of not talking to each other (over a friggen misunderstanding!). The ball keeps rolling and I being making a couple new friends in my classes. Not many to mention yet, since a few of them I knew since last quarter, but I think the ones that are the most mentionable are Kathryn (Athena's old roomie) and Ron Ignacio, my bud from Physics and Math 307 (great 6 hour homework marathon last night man!).

Current standings, I am enrolled in Math 307 (hate it), Physics 123 (ehhh....), EE 215 (love/hate relationship) and TC 231 (it's very scary that my TA looks like a friend that I had which moved away). In terms of free time, I've taken up a healthy diet and workout routine, along with practicing the guitar. To be honest, I think i'm growing out of playing video games. Sure, I collect them and get them all the time, but I rarely find myself sitting down and playing them. Aside from classes and my free time, I recently became the Corporate Liason for the University of Washington and had taken up salsa dancing with Kathryn, Dennis and Monika (very fun!).

In terms of comp related stuff, my usual consists of still going to deal sites like Passwird.com, spoofee.com, and techgeek sites like engadget.com, but the newest sites that I am frequenting are last.fm, a site which tracks what music I played recently, and cuteoverload.com, and awesome site featuring cute animal pics galore, like this one!

Very cute, huh? After feeling confident about the material the teacher mentioned would be on the exam, I decided to pack in and fall asleep for the night. At 4:58, I woke up without the aid of my alarm clock, which is the first time I've done that in a very long time. Stressed as I was, I decided to waste a good hour just browsing the net, checking my mail and trying to wake up. That followed with a short shower and a quick breakfast.

I continued to study until I decided to leave for class a 8:00, arriving at school just as my class started. Same as everyday, halfawake, I answered all the questions my teacher would ask the class with a smart ass answer. Frankly, I wasn't in the mood to get someone on my back so early in the morning, so I decided to lay back and attempt to study material in class. After class, I decided to skip out on Physics with Ron, as we proceeded to Odegard to study up on our Math 307 midterm. Long story short, I felt prepared after going over everything with Ron, then ending bombing my math midterm.

Distraught, I moved on to my EE 215 midterm, which was exactly 10 minutes after my math 307 midterm, and sat down and braced for the worst. This is by far the worst test experience I have EVER had in my entire life. I mean, I do great in lab, get 100's on the homework, and even correct my partners when working in a group, but I drew a complete blank on this midterm. I freaked out worst than I have even done in my entire life. Sweating profusly, shaking and gasping for air, I attempted to read through the test to see what I knew how to do. Regardless of all the studying I did, I truly had a full anxiety attack during that midterm.

Three problems, divided in parts a through f, after 30 minutes of the 50 minute midterm, I had part a for question 2 done. No exageration here, I was crying to myself. Holding the tears in, I tried to make what little sense I could with the remaining time. I guess the fact that my departmental GPA is the thing that will land me a job in the future really got to me, because I began drowning in my worries and couldn't think straight anymore. With that in mind and with 20 minutes to go on the test, I went up to the Prof and asked him if the test can be dropped or of it can be retaken.

The Prof was really nice and took me out into the hallway and tried to calm me down and ease my mind. Telling me to remember the basics and that there are thousands of students that mess up on their first departmental exam. Sadly enough ,his reasoning worked for me. With the remaining 18 minutes, I managed to get some work down for #1, a-c, #2, a-f, amd #3, a. I'm hoping that I at least pulled a 30/100 on that midterm with how badly I did. Thankfully, my friends from HS, who I believe are smarter than me, hit just as many snags as I did on that test... makes me free a bit better.

Oh well... Lunch with Ron, and a physics tutorial later, I went home and took a short nap prior to pulling of a 6 hour marathon on Tycho, with the aid of Kathryn and Ron, i managed to pull out a 98.8/100. After all that work my day got a lot better in the remain 4 hours I spent up. After a long chat with Kathryn, getting alot of things off my chest to relieve some stress, which I would have gone insane over during the night, I found some new hobbies to take up online, included a music log, updating and reorganizing my music library, and updating my blog for the first time in eons. Now... I'm gonna settle in for one of the most peaceful rests I've had in a long time. Thanks a bundle Kathryn for listening to me rant on and on, I'm sure that I probably got on your nerves with all of it, but it really helped me out in my time of need.

~nighty night from .avi-E~

-log out-

Ack + em = ACKEM...

Mehhh.....

My god, I am so dead at the moment. Its been busy ever since I finally settled down in my apartment and said "I'm ready for whatever UW throws at me." Geez, who knew that a day after saying that, I would be bombarded with test after test and homework after homework from my classes. At the moment, I'm only taking 13 credits worth of classes, I'm practically crying to myself wondering what a 18 credit load would be like for me once I choose to register for it.

So far, I'm keeping up in my Statics class (feelt really good about that first midterm), however, my Prof. for that class is leaving and is being replaced with another one. I worried that the reason I'm doing so well in that class is thanks to my current Prof. and his nice explanations and examples. I fear for what my next midterm in statics will be like with my upcoming prof... As for Physics, I both love it and hate it at the moment. Hate it because I did horrid on the first midterm, only to be thrown into a new section on the book which I have no clue what the hell I'm doing in. Love it because the newest section we are in (circuits and conductors) makes sense to me and is easily workable. Unfortunately, the section which I don't understand shit about is going to be on my next midterm (Friday, February 10th). <boohoo in advance>

As for my last class, Math, I finally got a one on one session with my Prof, and I'm sorta understanding the class a little more. I spend the majority of the time doing correct calculations, which I have no idea how to interpret. Anyone else ever have that feeling? You know how to do the work, can do the work, but have no frickin' idea as to what is all means? I personally cannot function if I cannot see the overall picture of my learnings. I can throw out as many numbers as you'd like, but what those numbers actually mean, I don't have a fuckin' clue... It makes me want to sleep when I think about how much of the book I'd have to recap to just catch up with the class...

In terms of social life, I have five new friends at the moment: Quan, my buddy from statics, Jennifer, a girl I met in Phys 122 tutorial and lab, Kat, Athena's old roommate, and Virjiznya (pronounce Virginia), a girl I met at the transfer student orientation and have gone out with twice so far. I personally cannot see how people can manage to go out with friends so ofter, have a job, and maintain all their classes at this school... According to Athena, "You'll just have to find a pace you are comfortable with." I hope that is the only reason this is to hard for me. And I hope I'm able to find my "pace" before I end up failing a subject...

Well... back to studying...

-avram out-

Illusion of a fun time

Fun time today,

Went to sleep around 4-5 in the morning, and woke up at 11 when my parents gave me a call that they just left Oak Harbor. Meaning, I should expect them at 2 PM. Once they arrived, we started planning out what to do today for Alyssa's early-bday. It is a shame though, it started out really sunny today, so we had planned to goto the family fun center and ride the go carts, but after the day trekked on, the weather proceeded to worsen and ended up raining. As a result of that, we ended up going to Illusions instead.

Although it sounds like I'm disappointed, I had a blast, as did my little sister. I spent the majority of the time playing bemani games like DDR, Pop'n Music, and Para Para Paradise, but having fun with my family is always fulfilling. While I played those along with my brother and sisters, it was very comforting to watch my parents having fun playing the air hockey table. I got videos and pictures of the stuff, which I'll post a link to afterwards. The guest list for this party consisted of my parents, Aziel, Athena, Karine (Aziel's girlfriend), Kalvin (Karine's little brother), Alyssa and myself.

Very small group for a party, and I think my parents were thankful for that. No cleaning up, and a small bill in the end. After playing at Illusions for 2 hours, we said our farewells to Karine and Kalvin as the family went out to eat. We decided to eat at Red Robins, and informed the waiter that it was out little sister's birthday, and at the end of our meal, the employees treated us to a song and a sundae for Alyssa.

Fun day overall. as of now, my parents are staying the night and are both in our lounge playing online at ParadisePoker.com. Both my parent... My mom and dad both playing it. That can't be a good sign...

PICTURES!!!!

My private war room

Hey hey all,

I know I said I would post later tonight, but appartently I missed the dead line and now it's tomorrow. Wait... it's tomorrow yesterday, meaning it is today. Right?

Well, I spend the majority of my day catching up on sleep and working on my stupid physics homework. I hate it when they throw a problem at you where there are no references to it in the provided textbook, or and examples showing you how to solve it. booo... The assignment was due at 11:59 PM, so I worked from 6:00 PM to 11:59 on the bloody thing. 6 hours of sheer bliss, and I still didn't finish. >_<

75/80... My parents are heading up to our apartment today at 11 AM so that we can hang out as a family and take my little sister (Alyssa) somewhere to celbrate her birthday. Her birthday isn't until the 16th (MLK Jr. Day), but seeing that everyone is busy with either work or college, we had to work around the schedule. We are planning to either take Alyssa to Illusions or Family Fun Center, either way, I'm game. (^_^) Lazer tag, bumper boats, go-carts galore! Fun times ahead this weekend indeed.

That reminds me... I guess I'll post a relay link there so that people will find this page.

Anywho, I finally got finished with the moving into UW phase, and I'm attempting to adjust to the constant hustle of city life. First thing I noticed on my way to class: I walk slower than EVERYONE on the street. Hell, even this incredible fat guy breezed right by me as I made my way to class the first day there. Sorta embarassing, but I think it is just because I'm not use to walking long distances on a daily basis.

So far, class have been fun (in a sense). Realizing that people here are actually interested in learning (as oppose to most of the people in my classes at SVC) is very comforting. Although, with that comfort came a price: no one talks at all. Occassionally, I run into a familiar face and exchange greetings, but aside from that, I am making no progress at meeting new people.

Even though I was worried about that at first, but I attempted something that which I've never done during my time at OHHS or SVC: flirting. Surprisingly enough, my first attempt at it went rather well. I ended up having a nice conversation with a cute girl, walking in the rain together under the same umbrella, getting her email and phone number, and a promise to go out and grab a drink or a bite to eat sometime. Not to sure as to how valid that promise was, but hell, I was pleased that she added me to her MSN and keeps in contact with me.

I'll post more later today, and perhaps add a couple of pics of my finalized room layout.

Moving on.

Last night in Oak Harbor... Whoopty whoop. Well, at least until the holiday rolls around. I'm not sure what my family's plan is, but the longer I'm away from home at the moment, I think the better off I'm gonna be. I've sealed off pathways of choice and cut tangle strings of memories today, and I think that it will help me on my move to UW. I'm looking forward to my new life now, seeing that it will probably be more rewarding for me in the long run.

It is unfortunate that I had to leave everything on such a bad note over here, but I'm happy that I won't have the lingering feeling of "What else could happen?" anymore. Its final. Done, kaput, zilch, zeroed, cleared off, set in stone... etc... Can't change it, and my mind couldn't be any clearer than it is at the moment. Can't say I'm pleased with the results, but I can say I got what I deserved and it is the easiest path to build myself up on.

Well, no more time to waste... gotta continue packing up my clothes and belongings.

*sigh*

Wow... Today was sorta a bore until a point. I practically sat around all day and did nothing till about midday, when I spent about an hour or two helping my parents setup our house with many xmas decors. It was fun and very relaxing, being able to talk with my parents and enjoy ourselves without being yelled at for minor mistakes. I miss the old days where I was the youngest in the family, where everyone unconditionally loved me and fawned over me. Well, my days are gone, and Alyssa's time to shine is now.

Though that was a great part of the day, I think the best part of the night was yet to come. Marne called me up and invited me to China Harbor for a late dinner, although I had already eaten my fill at home for dinner, I went there to meet up with her. Having an enjoyable conversation with a cute girl is always great in my book: makes me feel great just seeing them smile and laugh. After we finished up, I headed to the nearby Texaco where I helped her out by filling her gas for her. Minor detail, but I didn't know that a person could remember how much they owed another person down the penny, after over a month and a half had passed since that event.

...One high speed chase/drive home later...

The night continued with sitting down and watching the latest episodes of the anime we watch: Naruto and Bleach. It is great to be able to watch anime with someone who likes it almost as much as I do. Though my lil sis loves it, it isn't easy or fun talking to her about it. My bro and older sis have grown out of anime, so it is no fun to bring it up around them. Having finished watching the two latest episodes (after downloading the wrong episode and wasting quite a bit of time...), I continued to attempt to draw her attention and let her watch some music videos.

K-pop, thou art my savior for the night. I showed her quite a few nice videos that I had kept on my comp for some time now. (Which reminds me... I gotta draw some of the people, or sketch them some time...) Having shown her ones that she had seen before, I started to download a few of the k-pop vids for her at her request. Showing them to her only seemed to get her more and more excited to find a video which she had seen some time in the past. Being as thrown for her as I was back then, I still had the videos of the group that she told me about stored on my comp.

Having not seen them myself, I sat down with her and watched the videos together. Not very interested at the sight of "pretty" boy band faces, I attempted to spend more time looking at her than the videos. I later let my wants control my thoughts and soon found myself giving her a back massage... To my surprise, she didn't react negatively to it at all. No slap to the face or "what the hell are you doing!?" which I was expecting. Hehe... I'm such a coward.

Having massaged her for a good 10 mins, I asked her to lay flat so that I could give her a full massage on her neck as well as her shoulders. Having finished the videos that I downloaded for her, I asked her if she wanted to watch any of them over again. I then gave her the controls and showed her how to operate them, allowing her to watch any of the videos which she wanted. Having selected a video, I continued with her massage. This time around, I let my hands massage however they wanted as I watched the video and attempted to make sense of the storyline.

By the time the first video ended, I was still massaging her and waiting for her to pick the next video. After a good 30 seconds, I realized it: she fell asleep while I was massaging her. I paused for a bit and looked at her sleeping body, unable to see her face, her body looked very peaceful and relaxed on my bed. I didn't want to waken her, so I chose another video and continued massaging her neck and shoulders. This continued for about 20 more minutes, and I did not mind a second of it. Knowing that I made her feel relaxed enough to fall asleep made my mind drunk with butterflies.

Having let her sleep for a while longer, I sat beside her with my hand caressing her back, continuing to slowly massage her shoulders. Although I wished that time would not push forward, I knew that she had work tomorrow, so I didn't want to keep her with me to long. I woke her by stroking the hair away from her face and playing with her ear... Whispering "I love you" to a person you know can't hear you... Both very relaxing and tormenting at the same time. I wanted to tell her that I loved her when she was awake, however, I knew that she wouldn't be able to say the same to me... I've known that for the longest time now, however, I can't seem to get her off my mind.

Seeing that she responded to me moving her hair made the my back stiff and the hair stand straight on the back of my neck: "Did she hear me?!" Unknown to what was going to happen next, I slowly moved away from her, as she shifted her head over to the other side of my pillow, and continued to sleep. Looking at the clock, I knew that I had to wake her up. Sad as I was, I continued to play with her hair until she was fully awake.

I slowly woke her up and helped her get her things together. I stayed close to her as I walked her out of my house, and watched her goto her car. Something tells me I should have walked to the car with her, but the image of her looking at me and asking ,"Why'd you walk out here with me> You didn't have to." held me back.

Now... I'm lying restlessly in my bed. My pillow smells like her... as does my blanket. Both enchanting and disheartening, I can't help but not be able to sleep tonight. I loved her so much for over 5 years, and finally, I'll soon be in a place where I won't be able to see her face.

Gah...

Jesus... even though I'm finished with college at SVC, my parents aren't giving me a break at all. They always claim "You're so spoiled, we have to work around with your schedule." What the hell? Seriously, MY schedule is determined by THEIR schedule! What I get to do on my free time is completely dependant on what they want me to do, and what ever the hell extra activity I have to take Alyssa to.

I was suppose to hang out and the mall today, but of course, I couldn't go since I had to be home to pick up Alyssa from school.

UW - Here I come!

Yay! My schedule at UW is finally done! Now that I'm registered for classes, there is nothing that can stop me from going to UW anymore!

Personally, I LOVE my schedule. It will work out great from my point of view. I only have 10 mins between each class, but still, once I get done with all 3 of my classes on Moday or Friday, I'm free for the reminder of the day. Sound great to me!

Then on Tuesday and Thursday, all I have to worry about is my Physics quiz and my Statics lab, sweet deal! Although.. I do have quite a big load on Wednesday, but I won't let that get me down!

Looking forward to Winter 2006!

Important Dates:

Dec. 13th - Aina is moving into the appartment, gotta head up to UW and help her move
Dec. 15th - I think this is when I'm gonna start living in the appartment myself, I dunno
Dec. 25th - Xmas! Duh!
Dec. 31st - Daddy's birthday
Jan. 2nd - Mommy's birthday
Jan 3rd - First day of class
Jan. 16th - Alyssa's birthday

First post

Hey hey all,

Seeing that I'm practically gonna start a new life soon enough, I decided to ditch the entire xanga/myspace hype and try a more simple and straight forward approach to this nonsense.
